Outreach Activities

Phi Sigma Kappa

Throughout my time at Clemson University I have been a brother of the Upsilon Spetaton chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa. Through my positions as Sergeant at Arms, Philanthropy, and Maintenance chair I contributed to the organization and met lifelong friends and brothers.

Substitute Teaching

Since 2018 I have, as an out-of-school job, worked as a substitute teacher throughout the Delaware public school system. I have taught in grades K-10 and both Special Ed and ESL classes. I say without exaggeration that this experience has taught me more than perhaps anything else in my life about how to be a professional adult, in how you carry yourself, how you speak, and how you act.

Philanthropy

Since high school I have had a passion for Philanthropy and have strived to be involved as much and in any way that I can. In high school I helped organize a fundraiser which raised $170k for domestic abuse victims. In college I have helped run my Fraternities Polar Plunge fundraiser which raises over $10k every year for the Special Olympics. I also was a member of the Clemson Dance marathon club my first two years and personally raised several thousand for childhood cancer over that time.

Order of Omega

Since 2019 I have been a proud member of the Order of Omega; a select organization designed for the most academically successful (top 3%) members of Greek life. The club meets several times a semester and coordinates various community events such as food drives, charity runs, and academic success conferences.

Spanish Professional Society

Throughout my time at clemson university I have participated in a variety of clubs all centered around spanish and or the spanish business world. My favorite of these has been the Spanish Professional Society as well as the La Mesa program. The SPS provided me with a myriad of extracurricular activties that helped me to meet a great deal of people within my major. Additionally the La Mesa program was initially a huge help for me as it functions like a weekly open tutoring session. Later in my college career I had the opportunity to return to the program, this time helping others.

Sailing

I have been fortunate in my life to have been born and raised near the coast, and even more fortunate to have the chance to sail at a young age. Ever since my first time on the water I have spent every minute trying to get back, even volunteering this past summer to help teach kids how to sail.

Skiing

Perhaps the only sport I can still confidently say I am skilled in, I have had a passion for skiing since my uncle took me at 12 years old. While that trip might have resulted in tears, years later I have mostly positive memories of great times on the mountains with great friends... and just one nasty accident!
